This is a genuine fixed floor rather than a moving target, but reaching it only makes a child "qualified" to be considered — some of the 14 consortium grammar schools are oversubscribed, and each sets its own admissions criteria to allocate places among qualifying children, so the consortium does not publish individual schools' actual "last place offered" scores the way some other counties do.
Fourteen Lincolnshire grammar schools form the Lincolnshire Consortium of Grammar Schools (LCGS) and share one entrance test provided by GL Assessment: a Verbal Reasoning paper and a Non-Verbal Reasoning paper, sat either at the child's own primary school or at the grammar school where they registered, depending on area. Each paper's raw score is age-standardised (adjusted so that older children in the year group aren't automatically advantaged), and the two standardised scores are combined into one total.
